A food forest (or forest garden) is a diverse grouping of mostly edible, mostly perennial plants. Once established a food forest is low maintenance, lush, and yields lots of food. You’ll learn:

  • What is a food forest or forest garden?

  • How to select a location for your backyard food forest.

  • How to prepare the soil before planting.

  • The different layers of a food forest.

  • What plants to use in our challenging climate.

  • Some basics about food forest installation.

After this class you’ll receive:

  • A food forest info sheet.
